The experience of finger painting overall was frustrating. I didn’t understand the concept of painting my dark colors before my light and I thought using my fingers just got messy. I tried to paint The Great Wave with very little memory recollection of what it looked like, and it turned out like this! Afterwards, I looked up a photo of the real painting and was pleasantly surprised by how well I actually portrayed the original. It was nice to actually feel the paint while I was doing this project, but I don’t think I will be finger painting again anytime soon. This compares to other paintings I’ve seen because the lines kind of flow together and it isn’t completely obvious that I used my fingers to paint.
